Mi Air Charge Technology, Able To Recharge Without Needing To Be Plugged
JAKARTA - Xiaomi officially introduced its newest technology called Mi Air Charge Technology. It is a wireless recharge system that, according to the company claims, is capable of recharging a device "within a radius of several meters".
In addition, Xiaomi also stated that this device is capable of recharging multiple devices at a speed of 5W. In fact, even the obstruction of the object will not reduce the recharge capacity or speed.
"This technology allows you to charge smartphones and other smart devices without cables, or wireless stands," wrote Xiaomi Indonesia via the Instagram page, Saturday, January 30.
According to an official release shared by the company via the Mi Blog page, this technology is compatible with a wide variety of devices - from smartwatches to fitness bracelets. Meanwhile, the goal of Xiaomi to launch this product is to create a family room that is wireless.
This means that various devices - ranging from communications to smart homes, can rely on recharging through Mi Charge Technology. Unfortunately, based on confirmation from Xiaomi obtained by The Verge, the technology giant from China stated that the product has not been sold freely this year.
How Mi Air Charge Technology WorksThe company explains via its official blog that the key technologies of Xiaomi's remote charging are space positioning and energy transmission. This energy transmitter developed by Xiaomi itself has five forms of integrated antenna interference.

"The five antennas are able to accurately detect the location of the smartphone. Meanwhile, the control system consists of 144 antennas capable of transmitting military-sized waves directly to a smartphone through a spatial filtering or beamforming process, ”the company wrote.
Meanwhile, on smartphones, Xiaomi has also developed a small antenna array integrated with a beacon antenna and a receiving antenna. The beacon antenna is capable of broadcasting position related information with low power consumption.
"The antenna that receives the transmission consists of 14 antennas and is capable of converting the millimeter signal waves emitted by Mi Air Charge into the form of electrical energy through a rectifier circuit so as to bring the rechargeable experience like a science fiction film into reality," said the company.
