Polished Regarding Pigai, Susi Pudjiastuti Invites Citizen To Unfollow Abu Janda

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti invited netizens to unfollow Twitter accounts belonging to social media activists, Permadi Arya or Abu Janda @ permadiaktivis1.

This statement was conveyed by Susi via her Twitter account @susipudjiastuti in response to a media link in the news entitled, 'Abu Janda Calls Islam as Arogan Religion, Secretary General of PBNU: Don't Understand Islam'. This tweet was later retweeted and reviewed by thousands of accounts.

"Let's unfollow .. for our peace and health .. come on, come on !!!!" wrote Susi as quoted by VOI, Friday, January 29.

He said the statement made by Permadi offended the public and could not be tolerated. Moreover, people are currently dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. So, he invited all parties to unfollow Permadi's account.

"I think it is time to stop the babbling of this kind that always offends the public. It is not appropriate in the difficult times of the pandemic, things that are not positive are allowed. Let's not follow, and don't care about people like this. Greetings are healthy and peaceful," he said.

Permadi Arya has not only once caught the attention of the public because of his tweets. Later, he was reported by the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) to the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit for alleged hate speech against Papuan activists Natalius Pigai.

"We have received our report, thank God, cooperatively from the police. We have attached the evidence as well," said Head of the KNPI DPP Legal Division, Medya Rischa Lubis, to reporters at Bareskrim Polri, Thursday, January 28.

"That today we have reported the twitter account @ permadiaktivis1 which is allegedly owned by Permadi Arya's brother alias Abu Janda," he continued.

Regarding this report, the Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, said that his party had received a report from the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI).

"The report is yes. What is clear is that all public reports will be accepted, the police will definitely be served by the police to be followed up. We will definitely convey the developments," Rusdi explained at the Police Headquarters, Friday, January 29.

According to him, it is the duty of Police investigators to accept all complaints from the public. Currently, investigators are busy studying the report and all attached evidence.

"We learned first, currently investigators are still studying the report that was prepared yesterday by the reporter, meanwhile. Later on, the progress will definitely be conveyed," explained this one-star general.
