TikTok Launches Text Format Posts Similar To Instagram Stories, Here's How To Make It!
JAKARTA - TikTok is launching a new format to create text-based content, which is similar to Elon Musk's microblogging platform, Twitter.
The feature, which was launched in the midst of this new Twitter logo protest, TikTok said as a new way of sharing ideas and expressing the creativity of content creators.
"With text posts, we are expanding content creation limits for everyone on TikTok, providing written creativity that we have seen in special room comments, captions and videos to shine," TikTok said in its official statement, quoted Tuesday, July 25.
According to TikTok, the text format is the latest addition to content creation options, where creators can share stories, poetry, recipes and other written content on the platform.
"Giving creators another way to express yourself and make it easier to create," said TikTok.
In addition, users can also embed various features in their text posts, such as adding stickers, tags, hashtags, background colors, and sounds.
It should be noted, text posts have a limit of 1,000 characters, so users can write long content. TikTok's new format is at first glance similar to Instagram Stories.
Similar to video posts or photos, TikTok users can also save drafts and save them with other posts that are not published for later editing or completely disposed of.
How To Create Text Posts On TikTok
1. Open the Camera tab, select text from three available options (photos, videos, and text).
2. Then, you will be directed to the text creation page, where you can type your post content.
3. Once on the Posting page, you will find a familiar option to customize your content.
4. Here, you can add Voices, tag locations, enable comments, and allow Duets, among others. With those features, it will make your text shipments as dynamic and interactive as any video or photo post.
