Warner Bros. Delays Elvis Presley Biopic Movie Show Schedule

JAKARTA - The biopic about Elvis Presley by Baz Luhrmann will not air in 2021. Warner Bros. confirmed that the film will air next year.

Initially, the film was scheduled for release on November 5, 2021 in theaters. However, until now there is no complete information regarding this science. This is because the production process is still running in Australia.

Filming had stopped because Tom Hanks, one of the players, was confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 with his wife. Both underwent treatment and briefly returned to the United States.

Just as it was about to start again, a second wave of pandemics emerged which resulted in production completely stopping. In addition, Warner Bros. is considering not showing this film as Warner Bros. wants, namely in theaters and HBO Max.

Besides Tom Hanks, the Elvis Presley biopic stars Austin Butler Olivia DeJonge, Gary Clark Jr, Yola, and Shinka Dukureh.

Not yet having an official title, this film follows the dynamic relationship between singer Elvis Presley and his manager for 20 years, including when Presley was at the peak of popularity.

If there are no more obstacles, the biopic Elvis Presley will air starting June 3, 2022.
