Viral Depok People Use Dirham And Dinar Transactions, The Pioneer Is Named Zaim Saidi

JAKARTA - The phenomenon of using dirhams and dinars as means of payment in a number of areas in Java has suddenly gone viral in cyberspace. In a VOI search on the internet, important information was obtained from the Muslim Teen Twitter account @Pencerah __. His tweet revealed that the use of dirhams in buying and selling transactions was concentrated in a trading center called Muamalah Market.

"These Muamalah markets are under the authority of Amirat Nusantara, led by Zaim Saidi. He is known as the pioneer of the movement for the return of gold dinars and silver dirhams in Indonesia," the account wrote Thursday, January 28.

Furthermore, he also explained that these activities were part of the action against the economic system prevailing in Indonesia. The reason is because Zaim and his followers think the existing trade ecosystem does not match their views.

"Zaim Zaidi (allegedly HTI) is against the current financial system which he considers usury capitalism," he said.

In the post, @Pencerah__ revealed that Zaim had been campaigning for the use of dirhams and dinars for a long time. This is corroborated by the evidence he posted on his Twitter page.

“Zaim Saidi's digital footprint is in an effort to incite people to leave rupiah banknotes and return to dirhams and dinars as a means of market transactions. This is HTI's goal, which wants to return to the era of the Prophet, but in the wrong way, ”he said.

"From my search results, there are several Muamalah markets in several regions of the archipelago. Like in Yogyakarta, Bekasi and Depok-West Java, ”explained @Pencerah__.

Previously, VOI had reported about Bank Indonesia (BI) 's response to this. Through the Executive Director of the BI Communication Department Erwin Haryono revealed that the legal transaction tool in buying and selling in Indonesia is the rupiah currency.

According to him, BI's position is very important in order to confirm and avoid the creation of wrong public opinion regarding domestic transaction tools.

"This is expected so that the discussion will not develop in an inappropriate direction," he said in a press release, Thursday, January 28.

On that occasion Erwin said that in accordance with Article 23 B of the 1945 Constitution jo. Article 1 number 1 and number 2, Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 21 paragraph (1) of the Currency Law, the Rupiah is the only legal means of payment in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and any transaction that has a payment purpose conducted in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia must use Rupiah.

"BI reminds the public to avoid using payment instruments other than rupiah," he said.
