Gerindra Respects PDIP Call Budiman Sudjatmiko After Meeting Prabowo
JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani said that his party appreciated the decision of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP to summon Budiman Sudjatmiko, after meeting the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto.
"If later, the political step, then the PDIP DPP will invite Mas Budiman, of course we respect it because it is the internal domain of the PDIP party," said Muzani as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 20.
Muzani explained that Budiman met Prabowo in his personal capacity. The meeting, he said, discussed the problems of Indonesia and nationality.
"That's what caused Mas Budiman to meet with Pak Prabowo, to convey the ideas, that's also what Mas Budiman put forward in public," said Muzani.
He also said that Budiman and Prabowo's meeting did not discuss the joining of one of the activists in 1998 to the Gerindra Party.
"It was not discussed, it was not discussed. It was not discussed at all and we respect Budiman's political choice, he is a PDI-P cadre," added Muzani.
