7 BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Officers And Staff Are Examined By The AGO Regarding Alleged Investment Fund Corruption
JAKARTA - The investigating prosecutor of Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General's Office, examined seven officials and staff of the Social Manpower Insurance Administration Body (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan).
They were examined as witnesses regarding the investigation of suspected corruption cases in financial management and investment funds by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
"There were seven witnesses, consisting of four officials and three staff," said the Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General's Office, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, in a written statement to reporters on Thursday, January 28.
The witnesses with initials HKC as Deputy Director for Direct Investment for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, NAT as Deputy Director for Fixed Income at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, PH as Supervisory Board for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and LP as Deputy Assistant for Debt Market Analysis for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
Then DS as an employee of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, TW as staff at the Deputy Director for Finance, and HSP as an employee of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
According to him, the witnesses were asked for information to look for legal facts and collect evidence about the alleged corruption case in the management of finance and investment funds by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
The handling of this case at the Attorney General's Office has upgraded its status from inquiry to investigation based on the investigation letter Number: Print-02/F.2/Fd.02/2021.
The investigating prosecutors searched the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan office in South Jakarta on Monday, January 18 and confiscated a number of data and documents. Meanwhile, examination of witnesses began on Tuesday, January 19.
"Nobody has been named a suspect in this case," he said.
