Kibo Gang Cyclist Robber In West Jakarta Wanted By Police
JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Metro Police is chasing a jockey of a robber gang named Kibo. Kibo is on the police wanted list (DPO). Kibo is suspected of organizing an action with the five members of his gang to find a victim who was caught off guard.
"His role is a jockey, they operate together with more than one motorbike, alternating roles," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of West Jakarta Metro Police, Grand Commissioner Adjutant (AKBP) Teuku Arsya Khadafi, quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 28.
Arsya emphasized that his party will still look for Kibo even though the disclosure of the case is over. The goal is to uncover a gang that threatens the safety of West Jakarta residents.
Previously, an expert staff of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) M. Slamet Supriyadi was a victim of mugging while cycling (riding) with other staff of the Ministry of LHK passing Jalan Prof. Dr. Latumenten, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, Tuesday, January 26 evening.
Then two of the five members of the group that targeted the cyclist were shot in the leg by the West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
Five suspects from the group, namely SM (37), US (38), EU (39), MA (24) and TT (34) were arrested in less than 2X24 hours.
The perpetrators did not hesitate to threaten their victims with sharp weapons. The proceeds of his crimes were used to buy crystal meth and gamble.
Evidence that was secured, is cell phone which becomes evidence of theft and sharp sickle weapons.
The disclosure of this case is also the success of the "CCTV No Blind Spot" program initiated by the West Jakarta Metro Police.
The five suspects were charged under Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding violent theft.
