Prabowo: Many Thoughts Are The Same As Budiman Sudjatmiko

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto said that he had a lot of the same thoughts after talking with PDI-P politician Budiman Sudjatmiko.

"I really appreciate it, I really respect, I was touched by Mas Budiman's arrival, and as soon as we spoke, it turned out that many of our thoughts were the same," Prabowo said after a closed meeting at his residence, Jalan Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 18.

The candidate for president from the Gerindra Party said Budiman was a figure who had the aspirations to fight for the welfare, justice, and prosperity of the people. According to him, these ideals are exactly the same as he wanted.

"That's exactly my dream from childhood; that the situation and situation made us face each other at that time, not because we wanted to face each other, the situation made us like that," said Prabowo.

Prabowo also said Budiman had the idea of needing unity to run a big country like Indonesia. He was also determined to establish a relationship with one of the 1998 activists.

"And this unity should not be taken lightly. So that's what I respect, we have a lot of common thoughts, and we are determined to maintain this relationship continuously, continuous communication," said Prabowo.

Budiman said he also had the same thoughts as Prabowo. He felt that Prabowo represented a political leadership perspective that matched his thinking.

"I appreciate and feel that Pak Prabowo represents a political leadership perspective that suits me, in the sense of a nation that wants to rise in the midst of turbulence due to the global crisis, because of war (Ukraine-Russia)," he said.

Budiman continued that he needed thoughts from two different types to speak strategically comprehensively. Therefore, he considered that there was a match between Prabowo's background as intelligence and himself as an activist.

"Usually it takes thinking from two types of people: one intelligence, one activist; because if there are political people with intelligence or army backgrounds, or activist backgrounds, the two people are usually able to talk about strategic things comprehensively," said Budiman.
