Akhyar Nasution Et Al Not Present At The Medan Pilkada Lawsuit Session, Turns Out The Lawyer Letter

MEDAN - Akhyar Nasution-Salman Alfarisi or his team of attorneys were not present at the preliminary hearing of the Medan Pilkada lawsuit at the Constitutional Court (MK). As it turned out, Akhyar Nasution withdrew the attorney's power of attorney for the lawsuit over the victory of Bobby Nasution-Aulia Rachman.

Akhyar-Salman's attorney, Ucok Lumbangaol, explained the reason for not being present at the trial at the Constitutional Court, Wednesday, January 27, because the Akhyar-Salman team issued a letter of revocation as legal counsel since January 4.

Ucok was very disappointed with the decision. Because the legal team has been working to try to prepare for the 2020 Medan Pilkada results dispute trial.

"The reason they cut the power of attorney was because they wanted to go forward on their own. So we don't know what game this is. Even though we registered to Medan," he said.

Because of that, his party has sent a summons to Akhyar-Salman to their law office and partners.

"This is complicated, because we also don't know. We have already sent it to the Constitutional Court, apparently it was revoked. It shouldn't be like that. Lawyers can't just have their powers revoked. Don't be bluff. If you want to revoke it you should confirm first," he explained.

Meanwhile, the deputy mayoral candidate for Medan, Salman Alfarisi declined to comment. He asked reporters to ask Akhyar Nasution who is still the Acting Mayor of Medan.

"Try asking Akhyar. Yesterday I talked to him. He said he was the only one present," explained Salman.
