As A Conglomerate In Indonesia, Chairul Tanjung Was Inspired By Darwin's Theory
JAKARTA - The name of the entrepreneur Chairul Tanjung has become a topic of conversation among the public regarding his plan to acquire PT Bank Harda Internasional. Chairul will buy 3.08 billion shares or about 73.71 percent of the total Bank Harda.
Reported by VOI in an interview with Forbes, Chairul Tanjung admitted that he was inspired by Darwin's theory in running his business.
"I always remember Darwin's words," explained the father of Putri Tanjung, quoted on Thursday, January 28.
Charles Darwin, as it is known, was a naturalist from England who was known for his contributions to the theory of human evolution, which was later considered the basic concept of science.
"Not the strongest or smartest person who will survive, but he is the most adaptable," said the man who is familiarly called CT.
According to Chairul Tanjung, the application of the Darwin concept is important when there are many disturbances. The distortion that is meant by Tanjung is a contemporary phenomenon such as technological developments, changes in lifestyle, changes in the environment, and various other global situations.
"So for everything, it is important for us to adapt," he said.
According to Tanjung, a person's success can be different, but according to him success is how much a person becomes good and contributes to the surrounding environment.
"For me, if I do more for people, society, country and the world, then I will feel successful," added the owner of CT Corp.
