"I hope we can have more sessions with CLC going forward. Singapore is a city and also a country that is an inspiration to many cities in the world including Indonesia," said Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure of the IKN Authority Silvia Halim quoting Antara.
CLC Singapore shared its experience with OIKN in building a habitable city in line with the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between OIKN and CLC which was signed in March 2023.
Silvia explained that Singapore is an excellent example for the IKN Authority to build the archipelago, East Kalimantan, to become a sustainable, intelligent, and green city.
"A lot of hard work is needed to build a city from scratch in the middle of the forest, but we believe that learning and efforts don't have to start from scratch," he said.
According to Silvia, learning from the experiences of other countries such as Singapore is the best way to learn. Various knowledge and experiences can be learned and then improved.
"Hopefully we have the opportunity to do better and then build a city for the future, not only for Indonesia but we are talking about the world," he said.
