Belawan Harbor Police Shoot 4 Thieves
The personnel of the Belawan Harbor Police Criminal Investigation Unit took firm and measured action by shooting four motorcycle theft perpetrators (curanmor) in the Belawan Police jurisdiction.
Belawan Port Police Chief, AKBP Josua Tampubolon said the robbers were arrested by officers from two separate locations.
"They were shot for trying to escape," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 13.
Josua said the suspect MHS was arrested by Belawan Police personnel while near the Jemadi Brayan cemetery. Meanwhile, the suspect RF escaped and fled.
"The two suspects stole a motorbike on Monday (3/7) at around 21.30 WIB," he said.

The police chief said three other suspects were arrested at Indra Pura while boarding the bus to escape.
The three suspects were also given firm and measured action, namely FSR, FS, and ANP.
The arrests of the robbers were led by Iptu Marlon Hutapea.
"These perpetrators of theft have become a threat to public security, and their arrest is a significant step in providing a sense of security to residents," he explained.
Yosua said that from the results of this arrest, officers managed to confiscate evidence from the crime of theft.
