Minister Of Agriculture: Gunungkidul Regency Government Doesn't Need To Set Antraks KLB
GUNUNGKIDUL - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) said the Regency Government (Pemkab) of Gunungkidul, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), did not need to stipulate an Extraordinary Event (KLB) for the growing number of attractors in the region.
"However, handling must be intensive," said Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo in Gunungkidul as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 13.
He admitted that he was surprised by the anti-extraction case in Gunungkidul. But antracks every year exists and cannot be lost, he said. Antracese Spora can last for years. It is said that 50 years of antracese spora can survive.
The cases of BETraks in Indonesia itself are not as severe as Mouth and Nail Disease (PMK) and LSD in livestock. The surprising thing, he said, was human contaminating and causing death.
From the detection of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), he said, the cases of attractors that cause humans to die are only in Gunungkidul. To deal with this, the Ministry of Agriculture applies three agendas that need to be implemented in all regions.
Every time there is an anti-ax, there must be an emergency handling agenda or SOS. One of them, livestock that die due to antrax should not be touched, but are immediately burned and buried.
The second step is that the area around the anti-trax location up to a radius of 200 meters must be fully isolated. Then the area is guarded by puskeswans. Veterinarians in each region have implementation standards.
"In Gunungkidul there is a contraction, namely positive anti-extraction animals that have been buried are excavated and the meat is consumed by the community," said Minister of Agriculture Syahrul.
SYL said the attractor case in Gunungkidul was a warning to all parties that it should not be ignored.
The Minister of Agriculture said the next most important step in handling BETraks is to provide education to the public about how the occurrence of ANTraks was treated quickly.
The animal affected by antix has clinical symptoms such as fever and foamy mouth. The condition got worse, within one to two days it could die immediately. "This is what needs to be given education to the public," he said.
Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo also handed over assistance in the form ofANTRAX vaccines to other supporters worth Rp. 631,613,132.00. The vaccine reaches 60,817 doses.

The Regent of Gunungkidul Sunaryanta claims that the anti-extraction case is currently under control. He admitted that this case caused a resident to die, but the publication of this incident was considered excessive.
"Adaframing so that the case goes viral nationally, even though there is no significant problem on the ground," he said.
The Regent hopes that residents will not panic in facing the Antraks issue.
"We hope that the citizens are optimistic about building strength to overcome this problem," he said.
