KPK Grieves, Its Employee Has Passed Away Due To COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is grieving because one of their employees, namely the administrator of the Directorate of Investigation, Ferial Surya Wicaksono has passed away.

Ferial passed away on Thursday, January 28 at 6:48 a.m. WIB at the age of 34.

"The late Ferial Surya Wicaksono has passed away, aged 34, admin of the KPK Investigation Directorate this morning Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 6:48 a.m. WIB", said the KPK spokesman for prosecution Ali Fikri in a written statement to reporters, Thursday, January 28.

He said that before dying, Ferial was hospitalized and received intensive care due to being positive for COVID-19.

"The information we received, the deceased previously struggled in the ICU due to COVID-19", he said.

Previously, in September 2020, KPK investigator Kompol Pandu Hendra Sasmita also died. He died as a result of being exposed to COVID-19.
