Max Verstappen's Leading Start in British Formula 1 Today
JAKARTA - Red Bull racer Max Verstappen will start pole in the British Formula 1 Grand Prix race which will be held at the Silverstone circuit on Sunday, followed by McLaren driver Lando Norris in second place.
The Dutch racer has recorded his fifth pole position in a row and won pole position seven times during this season.
Reporting from Formula 1's official statistics, Saturday, Verstappen appeared fastest in qualifying despite facing the Silverstone circuit with a wet and dry track with a record time of 1 minute 26.720 seconds.
Behind Verstappen, McLaren factory drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri trailed behind with times of 1 minute 26.961 seconds and 1 minute 27.092 seconds respectively.

While in fourth and fifth positions were occupied by two Ferrari racers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Saint Jr. which recorded a time of 1 minute 27.136 seconds and 1 minute 27.148 seconds respectively.
After them there were two Mercedes racers in sixth and seventh positions George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. Meanwhile, another Red Bull racer, Sergio Perez, had to start the race from sixteenth position.
