Sony Wants To Revive The Xperia Compact 2021
JAKARTA - The news that Sony will revive the Xperia Compact line is increasingly being discussed by citizens. It is even mentioned that this compact phone is ready to challenge the iPhone 12 Mini.
This information was released, famous leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer via his Twitter account @OnLeaks said that Sony will revive the Xperia Compact in 2021. As summarized from The Verge, Wednesday, January 27.
Based on the CAD rendering results, the Xperia Compact will have a screen size of 5.5 inches with a mobile dimension resolution of 140 x 68.9 x 8.9 mm. A slightly larger size than the iPhone 12 Mini which has dimensions of 131.5 x 64.2 x 7.4 mm.

OnLeaks also mentioned that the new phone will have a chin and bezel that is thinner than the Xperia XZ2 Compact series. In addition, the Xperia Compact will also carry a waterdrop notch design for the 8 megapixel resolution selfie camera.
Meanwhile, a dual-camera configuration will be embedded on the back of the cellphone, where one of the main sensors is 13MP. The fingerprint sensor is stored in the power button and this Sony flagship phone will still have a 3.5mm audio jack port.
Regarding the performance and internal specification that will be carried, some reports say this series is registered with the Snapdragon 755G processor. However, it is said that this phone will come with Snapdragon 765G.
If it is true that this phone will be released, it will be certainly in line with Sony's plans to revive the smartphone market. Where Sony reportedly will release three flagship smartphone models in 2021.
However, Sony needs to pay attention to current market trends, many cellphone manufacturers are actually presenting large flagships from regular variants. For example, the iPhone 12 Mini whose sales are not as good as its bigger brothers.
