Affected By PPKM ,, Apindo Asks East Java Provincial Government To Give Intensive Especially For Culinary Business

SURABAYA - The East Java Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo) asked the government to provide intensive efforts, especially for food and beverage business actors.

Because their business has experienced a decline in turnover, since the implementation of Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) on January 11.

"The business that has been most affected is culinary delights, their turnover has decreased since PPKM. So we hope the government will provide incentives to relieve them," said Deputy Chairman of the East Java Apindo Organization, Johnson Simanjuntak, confirmed, Wednesday, January 27.

Jhonson emphasized that PPKM is a burden to business actors, including in East Java. The reason is, there are several PPKM regulations that have a big impact, especially in the food and beverage business.

Among other things, there are restrictions on operating hours at 20.00 WIB, as well as restrictions on the number of people in restaurants by 25 percent. It is different with companies or factories, they can still operate by improving health protocols (prokes).

"The culinary sector is the most problematic, but I have not yet obtained data on the number of people affected. As for the factory so far there are no problems, it remains normal by implementing health protocols," he said.

The East Java Provincial Government has decided to extend the PPKM from January 26 to February 8, 2021. The reason for the extension of the East Java PPKM is because the decrease in community mobility has not reached 40 percent during PPKM.

This time, PPKM volume two is implemented in 17 districts / cities in East Java, namely Surabaya City, Sidoarjo Regency, Gresik Regency, Malang City, Batu City, Malang Regency, Madiun City, Madiun Regency, Blitar City, Blitar Regency, Kediri Regency, Magetan , Ponorogo, Trenggalek, Tulungagung, Tuban Regency, and Pamekasan Regency, Madura.

There are several PPKM rules in East Java that must be obeyed by various parties, ranging from curfews, work from home (WFH), work form office (WFO) by 25 percent, students' teaching and learning process online or online, to operational hours for shopping center or mall until 20.00 WIB.
