Odegaard, Newest Victim Of The Modric-Kroos-Casemiro Dictatorship

JAKARTA - Martin Odegaard seems certain to be in Arsenal's uniform on loan. Yes, the Real Madrid midfield trio is again taking its toll.

The dictatorships of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Casemiro insisted that Odegaard was their newest victim. But on the other hand, the Norwegian's departure made Los Blancos' depth in midfield weaken.

Furthermore, of the remaining five midfielders, Isco actually wants to leave on loan in the winter transfer window. The reason is also because of the lack of playing minutes. But the door is now closed after Odegaard passes it to fly to England.

Launching MARCA, Wednesday, January 27, before Odegaard, there are several other players who are working hard to get the main position amid the dominance of Modric, Kroos, and Casemiro.

Asier Illarramendi is the first. Even though he came as a starter, Casemiro changed his position when he returned from Porto. Illarra quickly packed up his bag to return to Real Sociedad after two disappointing years in the Spanish capital.

Then came Mateo Kovacic, who proved to be a useful reserve for three consecutive Champions League wins. However, he is not satisfied with starting only when one of the dictators is injured.

He then went to Chelsea. Initially on loan, he now lives in London for nearly three seasons.

Los Blancos still want someone who can compete for the midfield position, or at least give them other options. Then Dani Ceballos arrived from Real Betis, but he was unused by Zidane and wasted on to Arsenal on loan.

Marcos Llorente is another recent example of how difficult it is to break through Real Madrid's midfield. However, he has grown stronger since Zidane kicked him to Atletico Madrid.
