Immigration Bali Deportation Of Russian Caucasians Creates Onar In Ubud
DENPASAR - Denpasar Immigration Office deported foreign nationals (WNA) from Russia because they often got drunk and caused trouble in the Ubud tourist area, Gianyar Regency.
"The perpetrator was then detained at the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim)," said Denpasar Rudenim Head Babay Baenullah, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 4.
The Russian foreigner with the initials AT was arrested on public reports on Thursday (25/5), when the 35-year-old man fell asleep on the sidewalk of Jalan Pelataran, Ubud.
He was then detained at the Ubud Police and based on data, AT often caused trouble in the Ubud area.
The Ubud Police then coordinated with Denpasar Immigration to be followed up.
However, AT could not be immediately deported to his country due to administrative problems, so he has been languishing in the Denpasar Rudenim since Friday (26/5). From the results of the examination, AT admitted that he lost his passport.
During his four years in Indonesian territory, AT entered using a limited stay permit facility as an investor.
However, it is not clear what kind of business and investment development he made according to his residence permit in Indonesia.
For this reason, the Denpasar Rudenim coordinated with the Russian Embassy in Jakarta to issue travel documents for its citizens.
"After being detected for 39 days and our ranks are intensely coordinating with the Russian Embassy in issuing travel documents, finally AT can be deported to its home country at the expense it costs", he added.
After completing travel documents and returning fees to Russia, AT was then deported via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on July 4, 2023.
