Mysterious Black Ball 'Yokohama 50KPa' Stranded On Kepri Beach, Indonesian Air Force: It's Being Sent, We Suspect It's Fender

JAKARTA - Residents of Bintan Regency, Riau Islands were excited by the discovery of a black ball with a circle of about 3 meters on the beach of Teluk Bakau Village, Tuesday, January 26 yesterday.

On the ball covered with white chains and mini black tires, was also found the words "Yokohama 50KPa".

Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau) First Marshal (Marsma) TNI Indan Gilang Buldansyah said the object was on its way to Jakarta.

"(Black Ball) Yes, today it was sent to Jakarta. I checked, so it is true that there were reports of residents finding objects like that", said Gilang when contacted by reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 27.

It does not want to speculate much about this object. Information is circulating that the black ball is part of a certain aircraft.

However, continued Gilang, his party had confirmed the local aviation authority to the Indonesian Air Force.

"But we have checked, in the last few days there have been no reports of aircraft incidents, and we have confirmed that they are not part of the Air Force aircraft", he explained.

Meanwhile, according to information from Danlanud, the black ball is thought to be the fender or completeness of a ship while leaning.

"So it is different. It is suspected that someone from the ship may have drifted off and carried away by the current. That is if, at the port, it is similar to the equipment at the port of anchoring. Maybe so but later it will check with the Navy", he explained.

Head of the Naval National Army Information Service (Kadispen AL) Julius Widjodjono added, it is possible that the stranded black ball was due to the movement of ocean currents in recent weeks.

"If we read the ocean currents in the archipelago, it is from the north to the Natuna to the south. Then from the Sunda Strait to the center. From the north the Philippines goes south to the east", he explained.

The black ball is now being handed over to the Indonesian Air Force for examination because it has the supporting technical equipment.
