Victim Drowning In West Aceh Found 20 Km From The Incident Location

MEULABOH - The joint SAR team evacuated the body of M Isa (63 years), a resident of Jambak Village, Pante Ceureumen District, which has been drowning since July 1.

"The victim was found dead in the Lhok Guci Village area, Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency, or about 20 kilometers (km) from the scene," said West Aceh BPBD Pusdalops Officer Asrajuddin, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 2.

M Isa's body was found by a joint team after officers made a search effort along the Meureubo River, West Aceh.

According to him, the bodies of the victims were initially found by the community and then evacuated by a joint team, after two days of being reported missing while fishing in the river.

The officer who found M Isa's body then handed over the body to the family, for a funeral in the local village.

"The search operation has been stopped, the entire search operation team has returned to their respective units," said Asrajuddin.

Victim M Isa was previously reported missing after Saturday before dawn at around 01.30 WIB went fishing in a river in Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency.
