Two Times COVID-19 Vaccine, Chairman Of IDI: Fellow Health Workers Shouldn't Be Worry
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PB IDI) Daeng M. Fiqih asked health workers not to worry and should be willing to be injected with the COVID-19 vaccine. This is because, after receiving vaccinations twice, he did not feel any side effects that would interfere with his health.
"I have represented a doctor's association, my friends represent midwives, nurses, pharmacists, and others, so fellow health workers don't have to worry because thank God the side effects I feel are minimal," said Daeng after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, broadcasted on the Presidential Secretariat YouTube account, Wednesday, January 27.
As with the side effect that he felt was only stiffness in the hand that was injected. However, this only lasted five hours after injection time.
He assured that the COVID-19 vaccination needs to be carried out by health workers because it has a fairly high risk of transmission. So, if there are still health workers having difficulties in the registration process, IDI will be ready to help.
"For friends who have difficulty accessing, registering vaccines, please contact the local IDI or perhaps directly to me to give me access to register vaccines so that vaccine injection can run smoothly," he said.
"So there is no need to worry because this is for us. We, who are dealing with patients every day, the risk is quite high. So we need to be vaccinated quickly," added Daeng.
As previously reported, President Jokowi underwent the second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination today. After being vaccinated today, he admitted that he didn't feel anything as he was vaccinated for the first time.
"So after the first injection of vaccine on January 13, two weeks ago now, today I got the second shot of vaccine," Jokowi said after vaccinating at the State Palace, Wednesday, January 27.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta underwent the vaccination process at 08.30 WIB. Before being vaccinated, he had his health checked first, starting from blood pressure checks to answering a number of questions related to his health.
There are also doctors who injected the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Sinovac, Prof. Dr. Abdul Muttalib and this time his hands did not tremble, like when he first performed his duty.
After being vaccinated, Jokowi admitted that he didn't feel anything the same as after he got vaccinated for the first time.
"Just like two weeks ago, I didn't feel it," he said.
