Ancol Alleged Corruption Scandal, Expert: Officials And Ex-Officials Can Be Convicted, Just Report It To The KPK!
JAKARTA - Trisakti University Criminal Law expert, Abdul Fickar Hadjar assessed that a number of officials and former PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol officials have the potential to be convicted. The reason is that they can fall into allegations of corruption in a number of stalled projects at one of the DKI Jakarta BUMDs.
"Although it is considered a business dispute and can be resolved in a civil manner, such as the PT MEIS vs PT WAIP case, but if an official or former PT PJA official finds it causing regional losses, it can only be reported to the KPK or the AGO," said Abdul Fickar in Jakarta, Thursday 29 June.
According to him, PT PJA cannot just let go of it. He reasoned because the findings of a number of stalled projects and business cooperation that were suspected to be illegal belonged to PT PJA.
"That's right (not being allowed to let go of PT PJA). Khan PT PJA is a BUMN, so if there are naughty people, they can be punished," he said.
Previously, Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gilbert Simanjuntak, suspected that PT PJA seemed to have let go of a dispute between PT MEIS and PT WAIP as tenant tenants at Ancol Beach City (ABC) Mall.
"In my notes, I was asked about PT MEIS and PT WAIP, it turned out that PT PJA didn't hand a contract, how could it be? Even though the ABC Mall Music Stadium is in the working area of PT PJA. This is like a 'lightback' of PT PJA in this case," Gilbert said.
He also smelled the alleged conspiracy in the ABC Mall Music Stadium contract, because there was a contract that was declared default to continue.
"Even PT PJA made another contract with the MoU without a notary, this old board of directors wants to sell DKI or something. The project has lost money, but it continues, not termination. What is this?," he said.
Furthermore, Gilbert assessed that the board of directors of PT PJA did not implement Good Corporate Governance (GCG).
"During the board of directors, PT PJA does not understand GCG. The management of projects that use APBD should be by tender, not by MoU of all kinds, not good. Tender is to manage, so we get a good company, if this is how to manage it until whenever Ancol continues like this," he said.
It is known, previously it went viral on social media related to a number of stalled Ancol projects that have the potential to cause state losses.
Even the Indonesian Ombudsman asked the DKI Jakarta Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) to summon the President Commissioner of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol (PJA) Sofyan Djalil, Hendra Lie and Fredie Tan, regarding the conflict in the management of PT Wahana Agung Indonesia Propertindo (WAIP) with PT Mata Elang Internasional Stadium (MEIS).
