Black Box Of SAM Air Plane Not Found
JAKARTA - Head of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), TNI Intermediate Marshal Henri Alfiandi, said the evacuation team did not find the black box of the Gran Caravan plane belonging to Semuwa Air (SAM) with the PK-SMW number.
The search for the black box aims to determine the cause of the crash in the interior of Poik, Yalimo Regency, Papua Mountains.
"But until the team left the wreckage of the Black Box plane, it was not found," Henri said in his statement, Wednesday, June 28.
So far, the team has only found the wreckage of the plane charred. Then, the tail stuck in the tree branch. Meanwhile, the fuselage was stuck in an avalanche.
"The left-right side of the plane is a steep ravine," said Henri.
Previously, the team had evacuated all the bodies of the victims in the accident to the pick-up point.
In the process, the team had difficulty evacuating accident victims considering the steep terrain, dense trees and weather constraints.
"At 12.54 WIT, information from the field showed that all the victims had been filled into the body bag and lifted from the point of the plane to the dropping site or pick-up," said Henri.
The PK-SMW plane belonging to Samuwa Air, Friday, June 23, had an accident on an Elelim-Poik flight carrying four passengers, namely Bartolomeus (34), Ebeth Halerohon (29), Dormina Halerohon (17), Kilimputni (20) with pilot Hari Permadi and co-pilot Levi Murib.
