Details Of The 2023/2024 Liga 1 Operations Haven't Been Signed, PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir Still Wants To Make Sure These 3 Things Are Inside
JAKARTA - PSSI General Chair (Ketum) Erick Thohir still has not signed the details of the Liga 1 operation which will start rolling in early July. Erick Thohir wants to make sure there is something that must be included in it.
This statement was made by Erick Thohir after holding a press conference with the Police Chief, Listyo Sigit Prabowo, regarding Liga 1 2023/2024 at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Monday, June 26. Erick Thohir emphasized that three important points had not yet signed the guidelines for the Indonesian league.
The first point is his focus regarding the participation of U-23 players in the 2023/2024 Liga 1 competition. There are also additional questions about League 2 which must include U-21 players.
"League 1 is mandatory for U-23 players, there should not be foreign players but later the Indonesian players in their future will not play. Also in Liga 2, there must be U-21 players," said the man who also serves as Minister of SOEs.
Furthermore, Erick Thohir also highlighted the League 1 and League 2 coaches. He wants a tactician to sign a commitment when there is a player call for the national team.
"We don't want the league to be good, the national team is slumped. There must be a signature, so if the coaches who don't have a commitment to the future of Indonesian football, just make a living here, they don't have to be here anymore," he said.

The last point is also Erick Thohir's focus ahead of the 2023/2024 Liga 1 regarding safety and security systems. According to him, it should be a high standardization for clubs and leagues.
Related to that, Ercik Thohir revealed, if at the end of the year FIFA would send his party to help standardize.
"Of course the third most important thing that was also questioned was that the system rather than safety and security should be a high standardization for clubs and leagues. Therefore, FIFA itself will send (representation) later this year to help with standardization," he explained.
"Well, of course what I have collaborated with the police we will guard. Of course there is real evidence, yesterday when (FIFA Matchday) Palestine and Argentina, hopefully this standard can happen in the league," said Erick Thohir.
