A Total Of 7,757 Aceh Residents Recover From COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Aceh COVID-19 Handling Task Force (Satgas) announced that the total number of residents who have recovered from COVID-19 has reached 7,757 people.

"We are grateful that there are four more people with COVID-19 in Aceh who recovered. But there are also additional confirmed cases of five people,” said Aceh COVID-19 spokesman Saifullah Abdulgani in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara, Tuesday, January 26.

He continued that the four patients who had just recovered included two residents of Nagan Raya Regency, and each one of the rest is from Banda Aceh City and Aceh Tamiang Regency.

Meanwhile, four confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 came from Banda Aceh City and one person from Bireuen Regency. "There are no reports of COVID-19 patients who died in the last 24 hours," he said, explaining.

Since the first case was detected in March 2020 until now, there have been 9,149 cases of COVID-19 in Aceh, including 1,018 people who are still being treated or isolated, 7,757 who have recovered and 374 people have died.

The spokesman, who is familiarly called SAG, added that the transmission of the corona virus continues to occur in the community, which is proven from the daily reports of the district/city COVID-19 Task Force.

In plain view, it is difficult to distinguish sufferers of COVID-19 from influenza. The two showed the same symptoms of respiratory tract infections, such as fever, cough and runny nose, he said.

"Therefore, it is necessary to have a medical examination and swab check for nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal with a real time polymerase chain reaction to be sure," he said again.

In addition to the COVID-19 Task Force continuing to carry out the testing, tracing and treatment, residents are also being asked to apply health protocols properly.

"Such as always discipline to wear a mask, keep your distance and wash your hands with flowing water. It is also important to recognize the symptoms caused by corona virus infection," he said.
