Indonesian National Police Chief and The Chaiman of PSSI Discuss Preparation for League 1
JAKARTA - National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo and General Chair of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Erick Thohir, today held a meeting at the National Police Headquarters to discuss preparations for the 2023/2024 Indonesian League 1 season.
"(Discuss) preparations for League 1," said Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 26.
However, Ramadhan has not specified whether during the meeting there will be a hand over of match permits from the National Police Chief to the PSSI Chairman.
But previously, PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir had submitted the schedule for the 2023/2024 Indonesian League 1 competition to the National Police Chief for confirmation of match permits.
The 2023/2024 Indonesian League Competition is planned to be held on 1 July 2023 and ends on 30 May 2024.
In the next season, it is planned that there will be several changes compared to the previous season such as the name, competition format, and the addition of foreign player quotas, but until now there has been no confirmation from the operator or federation regarding this discourse.
Assistant for Operations to the Indonesian Police Chief (Asops) Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendy, Wednesday (10/5) said that the National Police will prepare a new concept for organizing a better and more comfortable league for spectators, organizers and football clubs.
"This formulation will soon be discussed from various aspects focusing on aspects of comfort and safety," Agung said confirmed in Jakarta.
According to Agung, this formulation was conveyed after the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo received the schedule for the 2023/24 Indonesian League I Season.
