Arsenal Criticized For Wanting To Buy Kai Harvertz For IDR 1.2 Trillion From Chelsea, Mikel Arteta Installs A Body
JAKARTA - Arsenal are reportedly chasing the services of Chelsea player, Kai Havertz. This is a direct request from the manager, Mikel Arteta.
Reports from several British media, The Gunners are close to finalizing an agreement with Chelsea. The German will be transferred for a value of 65 million, equivalent to IDR 1.2 trillion.
This news shocked Arsenal supporters. The reason is, Havertz is considered not the figure needed by the London club.
Moreover, the price is considered too expensive if you look at his contribution while in the Chelsea uniform.
However, Arteta installed a body. He said the price was appropriate for a Havertz.
"There is a price in cash, and at Arsenal, we are always interested in experienced young players," said Arteta regarding his interest in the former Bayer Leverkusen player.
"I repeat, I'm not talking about players from other clubs, but in Kai's case he's shown a lot, including in the Champions League."
"He is a talented, versatile player and is only 24 years old," he continued.
Arteta hopes that the addition of Havertz will help Arsenal complete the mission that the 2022/2023 season failed to complete, namely to become the English Premier League champion.
