The First Thing To Be Done By Komjen Listyo Sigit After Being Inaugurated By The President As The National Police Chief
JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters will hold a National Police Chief Handover (Sertijab) from General Idham Azis to Commissioner General (Komjen) Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Wednesday, January 27.
This handover was carried out after Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo was officially inaugurated by Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as Chief of Police at the State Palace on the same day.
"The activity of handing over the Tribrata Polri Panji from the old to the new National Police Chief. After the inauguration at the Palace. It was an internal activity," said the Head of Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas), Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono to reporters, Tuesday, January 26.
The handover of the Tribrata Polri Panji is a traditional event at the Bhayangkara Corps as a sign that Commander General Sigit holds the highest command stick.
After this activity, it will be continued with the handover of the General Chairman of Bhayangkari and the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation. In this case, General Idham Azis' wife will hand over the leadership of the organization to the wife of Listyo Sigit.
"There was the handover of the two organizations, the Bhayangkari organization with the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation," said Rusdi.
Previously reported, the Indonesian Parliament has officially approved Komjen Listyo Sigit as the National Police Chief.
This approval decision was given after Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representative (DPR), Ahmad Sahroni, read the report on the results of the fit and proper test which was conducted on Wednesday, January 20 yesterday.
"Can the Commission III DPR report on the results of the proper test on the National Police chief candidate be approved?" said the Chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, who chaired the plenary session at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, January 21.
