South Korea Joins Pacific Vanguard War Exercise In US-led Guam
JAKARTA - The South Korean Navy on Sunday said it would participate in a multinational maritime exercise led by the United States in Guam waters next month to improve joint operational capabilities.
Quoted from Antara, Pacific Vanguard exercises are scheduled to take place from July 1-12, involving naval forces from South Korea, the US, Australia, and Japan.
The South Korean Navy will send the destroyer Munmu the Great weighing 4,400 tons to participate in the exercise.
During the exercise, the navys of the four countries will be involved in various maritime operations, such as anti-submarine warfare operations, air warfare operations, and active ammunition missile attack operations.
The South Korean Navy has been taking part in the exercise since 2019.
