1 Million COVID-19 Cases In Indonesia Have Reached 1 Million, All Must Take Extra Health Protocol Discipline

JAKARTA - 1 million COVID-19 cases in Indonesia have passed since the pandemic first entered in early March 2020. Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin asked the public to be extra disciplined in health protocols.

“This is a moment where we have to work hard, have to work very hard, be extra hard to ensure those two things. "We do well for ourselves, family, neighbors and friends," said Minister of Health Budi Gunadi in his statement, Tuesday, January 26, the discipline of health protocols is wearing masks, washing hands, keeping our distance.

Second, the Minister of Health increases the discipline between relevant authorities to work in coordination. According to him, the Ministry of Health will ensure the testing, tracing, and isolation programs related to COVID-19 cases.

"The goal is only one, reducing the rate of transmission, flattening the curve. With this we can control the spread of this pandemic, "he continued.

The Minister of Health believes that the social capital owned by the Indonesian people can help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"And if all the social capital of all Indonesian people is united, I am sure that whatever the problem is we can solve it together," he said.

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) previously released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 75,194 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 13,094 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1,012,350 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, January 26.

Today's cases recovered increased by 10,868 cases, so that a total of 820,356 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 336 people and a total of 28,468 people.

The province with the most new cases is in West Java with 3,924 cases and a total of 131,322 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 2,314 new cases with a total of 254,580 cases. Central Java has 1,678 new cases and a total of 118,204 cases. Then, East Java has 967 new cases and a total of 108,017 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 2,939 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 2,248 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 1,676 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 833 recovered cases.

No province reported having no new cases as of today. The province that reported the fewest new cases was Gorontalo with 4 cases.
