Pairing Pigai Photos With Gorillas, Ambroncius Nababan Was Asked By The Police With 25 Questions

JAKARTA - The National Police Criminal Investigation Unit has investigated a Hanura Party cadre, Ambroncius Nababan, in a case of alleged hate speech on social media against Natalius Pigai. Ambroncius Nababan juxtaposed a photo of Pigai with a gorilla.

Police Public Relations Division Karo Penmas, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, said that during the investigation, investigators had searched the Hanura Party politician with 25 questions about his actions.

"Yesterday, 25 questions were asked," Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono told reporters, Tuesday, January 26.

Then, in handling this case the Police will work in a transparent manner. So, everything that is wrong will still be punished regardless of the background.

"Of course in the future, investigators will handle this matter professionally and accountably, we will convey the developments later," he said.

Previously it was reported that Ambroncius Nababan was still a witness. Even though in that case he was a reported figure.

"The person concerned has been examined as a witness," said Rusdi

However, regarding the results of the investigation, Rusdi was reluctant to elaborate. The reason is that it is the authority of the investigator.

"What we can inform is that the person concerned has been examined and the results of the examination are under the authority of the investigator," he said.
