World Figures Fighting Against Racism

JAKARTA - Feeling that he was being acted on by racism, Natalius Pigai complained about Ambrocius Nababan to the Secretary of Defense (US), AS Lloyd Austin. In the tweet, Pigai said he was proud of the US Defense Minister. He named Lloyd Austin as the most powerful black African-American person in the world. Pigai hopes that someone will pay attention to cases of racism that often afflict Papuans.

Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela is very much against racism. He said that racism not only demeans its victims, it also demeanes its perpetrators.

"We have to make sure that color, race and gender are only gifts that God has given to each of us and not indelible signs or attributes that give special status to anyone," Nelson Mandela said in a speech.

Marthin Luther King Jr.

Through a speech entitled "I Have a Dream", held a demonstration against racism in front of 250,000 people. Marthin was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.

Marthin admired Mahatma Gandhi and followed his teachings. Quoting from the Nobel Prize website, since 1955 he has struggled to raise the rights of black people to the government. Marthin was killed by racism in 1968.

Malcolm X

Malcolm X motivated black people to avoid the shackles of racism which was carried out in any form, be it verbal or verbal. Malcolm X greatly admired the principles held by Martin Luther King Jr., which calls against non-violent racism.
