Attorney General Claims Save State Finances Of Up To IDR 19.2 Trillion From Corruption Cases
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office claims to have saved up to tens of trillions of rupiah in state finances from corruption cases that were handled from January to December.
This was conveyed by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin when describing his achievements at the Joint Working Meeting of Commission III of the DPR RI.
"The rescue of state finances was around IDR 19.2 trillion; 76.7 thousand US dollars; 71.5 thousand Singapore dollars; 80 euros and 305 pounds," said Burhanuddin during a working meeting broadcast on the YouTube account of the Indonesian Parliament, Tuesday, January 26.
In terms of case handling, the prosecutor's performance in the field of Special Crimes in eradicating corruption has conducted a total of 1,366 investigations and 1,091 investigations.
Furthermore, Burhanuddin also explained that the number of prosecutions for corruption cases reached 1,466 cases; and the number of executions of 1,227 cases.
In addition, he explained about the work units of the State Prosecutors 'Office and the High Prosecutors' Office throughout Indonesia. Overall, from March 29 to January 14 there were 520,569 phase II hearings and 4,333 trials conducted online.
