Governor Ganjar Sends A Message To Regional Heads Of Central Java Regarding PPKM Extension, Let Restaurants Open Until 8 PM
SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo sent a circular to regional heads in 35 districts/cities regarding the implementation of the extension of the Public Activity Restriction Enforcement (PPKM) until February 8, 2021. PPKM was extended to control the spread of COVID-19.
"In principle, all districts/cities are asked to prepare several things, including increasing the availability of ICU beds and isolation in their respective places," said Ganjar in Semarang, quoted by Antara, Monday, January 25.
At a minimum, he said, in each district/city there are 15 special ICU units for COVID-19. The goal is that if an emergency occurs, it can be served. The public is also asked to be proactive in immediately reporting any symptoms of COVID-19 to reduce the risk of death due to late treatment.
Regarding the implementation of the second volume of PPKM, Ganjar revealed that there are slight differences, especially limiting operating hours.
Restaurants, dining houses, cafes or on-site dining services if previously had to be closed at 19.00 WIB, the second volume of PPKM is allowed until 20.00 WIB, but after that, until the next hour they are asked to do "take away".
"Shopping centers or malls are also up to 20.00 WIB, up one hour from the previous. Tourist destinations limit a maximum of 30 percent and operating hours are limited to 15.00 WIB. There is no night picnic," he said.
Central Java Regional Secretary Prasetyo Aribowo added that the Governor of Central Java has issued a circular number 443.5 / 0001159 to all district/city governments.
Thus, PPKM is not only being implemented in Semarang Raya, Solo Raya, and Banyumas Raya, but all areas in Central Java.
"All regencies/cities are asked to implement this SE simultaneously and the same, including the imposition of restrictions on operating hours. So everything must be equalized so that there is no jealousy," he said.
