1 Hajj Candidate From Riau Dies In Makkah, Service Is Held By Officers

RIAU - A pilgrim who was a candidate for Hajj (JCH) in Riau Province named Subani Firdaus Samad Thaha died at the Indonesian Hajj Health Office (KKHI) Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Friday, June 16 in the morning

Public Relations of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Riau, Ana, said the prospective pilgrims were members of the Batam (BTH08) embarkation from Pekanbaru City.

"The pilgrim from Riau with the portion number 0400084499 on behalf of Subani Firdaus Samad Thaha has a history of heart disease," said Ana, in Pekanbaru, Friday, June 16, which was confiscated by Antara.

Ana said that her party and the Head of the Riau Ministry of Religion Regional Office, Mahyudin MA, expressed their deep condolences for the death of the prospective hajj candidate.

"Hopefully the deceased will be placed with people who are blessed with Allah subhanahu wa ta'a ala (SWT) and the families left behind are steadfast in facing this ordeal," he said.

Ana explained that the Pekanbaru joint hajj candidate and Rokan Hilir departed with his wife on May 28, 2023.

The condition of the deceased had a common fever and yesterday was still joking. However, in the early hours of the morning at around 03.00 Saudi Arabia time, the deceased suddenly felt congested and was immediately taken to KKHI. The prospective congregation was declared dead at around 04.15 Saudi Arabia time

Mahyudin said that Subani Firdaus Samad Thaha, who died, had not had time to carry out the pilgrimage. Therefore, he said, his pilgrimage will be banned by the appointed officers.

Currently, the body is being managed by Maktab 21 for the management of the body, starting from bathing, praying until the funeral is Maktab's responsibility.
