Using Dimensity 700 Chipset, OPPO A55 5G Will Cost IDR 3.5 Million
JAKARTA - OPPO has just launched a new budget 5G smartphone named OPPO A55 5G in China. This new device was launched a few days after the release of the OPPO A93 5G. Let's take a look at the specifications, features and prices of the new OPPO smartphone.
The newly announced OPPO A55 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700, System on Chip (SoC) paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. If needed, the memory can be expanded up to 1TB via a MicroSD card.
On the front, the device sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with HD + resolution (1,600 x 720 pixels) and dewdrop bangs.
The screen has a 60Hz refresh rate, 60Hz touch sampling rate, 71% NTSC color gamut, 269 PPI, 1500: 1 contrast ratio, and 480 nits peak brightness.
Regarding the camera, the OPPO A55 5G comes with a triple camera setup with a vertical position on the back. The three cameras include a 13MP main lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP portrait sensor. As for selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front.
As for connectivity itself, this device supports 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS (BeiDou, GALILEO, QZSS, GLONASS), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
As for the sensor, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, compass, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and gyroscope. The phone runs on ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.
Finally, this device comes with the model number PEMM00 and is available in two colors, namely Brisk Blue and Rhythm Black. It measures 163.9 x 75.7 x 8.4mm and weighs 186 grams. Meanwhile, the battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh with support for 10W charging.
In China, the OPPO A55 5G is sold at a price of 1,599 Yuan (IDR 3.5 million) and is ready for pre-order. This device may hit the global market in the coming days as phones with the MediaTek 5G chipset begin to be released outside of China.
