Found To Be A Youth Gathering Place, OYO Hotel In Pademangan Is Permanently Sealed
JAKARTA - The police force (Satpol PP) in Jakarta has permanently sealed the Ava Guest House hotel Ancol which owned by OYO today for violating the provisions.
Head of Satpol PP, Arifin, said that initially the community reported that the hotel was often used as a gathering place for teenagers, causing crowds during the pandemic.
"Based on public reports that the operation of the business has caused anxiety in the surrounding environment and is often used as a gathering place for teenagers," said Arifin in his statement, Monday, January 25.
The Jakarta Satpol PP then checked the alleged violation of the health protocol at the place. After an examination of the business licensing administration, it turned out that the hotel manager also did not have a lodging business license according to the provisions.
Based on the DKI Jakarta Provincial Regulation Number 8 of 2007 concerning Public Order and the Regulation of the Governor of the DKI Jakarta Province Number 18 of 2018 concerning the Implementation of Tourism Business, the hotel is permanently closed.
"Initially, this was a shophouse that changed its function to a hotel or inn without a permit process being carried out," said Arifin.
For information, the DKI Provincial Government has received a fine for violating health protocols during the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) of Rp.101.5 million.
During the two weeks of the PPKM, 23,490 offenders were caught not wearing masks. A total of 22,895 people were given social work sanctions and 595 people were fined.
There were 538 registered offices that violated, with 2 places being subject to fines totaling IDR 2 million, 26 were temporarily suspended for 3x24 hours, and 511 offices received a written warning.
Then, there are 876 restaurants or cafes that violate health protocols. In details, 10 places were subject to fines totaling Rp. 11 million, 106 were temporarily suspended, and 760 received a written warning.
