Legitimate! Luhut Pandjaitan Becomes Number 1 Person In PB PASI

JAKARTA - Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan officially leads the Executive Board of the Indonesian Athletics Association (PB PASI) for the period 2021-2025 through the acclamation process at the congress which took place Monday, January 25 in Jakarta.

Luhut, who is also the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia (Meknko Marves), became the sole candidate for chairman in the election process and received support from all 34 administrators of PB PASI province and one administrator of the Indonesian Masters Athletic Association (PAMI).

With these results, Luhut now officially leads the national athletic body, replacing the late Mohamad "Bob" Hasan who has led PB PASI for 41 years.

Luhut expressed his gratitude for the trust given to all Indonesian athletic people, especially the regional PASI administrators who unanimously elected him as chairman.

Luhut ensures that he will continue what has been going well at PB PASI in athletic development, and improve things that are still lacking, so that in the future athletics will be even better.

According to the information received, the 2021 PASI Congress also discussed AD / ART besides the election of the general chairman. However, due to time constraints, the discussion of AD / ART will be continued on another agenda.

"In addition to the election of the chairman, there is AD / ART (discussion) as well, but because it takes time there will be an extraordinary congress to discuss it," said PB PASI spokesman Hendri Firzani via short message.

Today's congress is chaired by Acting Chairman Zacky Anwar Makarim, who temporarily chaired PB PASI after Bob Hasan died on March 31, 2020.
