JAKARTA - A family lives in an uninhabitable house and experiences mental disorders in the Jorong Taratak Tangah area, Nagari Sungai Nanam, Lembah Gumanti District, Solok Regency, West Sumatra.
"We are very concerned about the conditions experienced by Nuraini's family (40) living in an unfit for habitation and also experiencing mental disorders," said Nanam Masriwal River Head of the Kenagarian Care Generation Foundation in Alahan Panjang, reported by Antara, Monday, January 25.
Nuraini has four children from a husband who has left her for a long time. The four children, namely Neri Fidia (23) who also has mental disorders, Rafi (19), Rika (17), and Hen.
Currently Nuraini only lives with her son, Neri Fidia Yanti, who is married and has one child, but Neri's husband has not returned home for a long time.
"Nuraini's three children are rarely at home, the other person has been taken by her husband away," said Masriwal.
Despite experiencing mental disorders Nuraini still works to earn a living to support her children and grandchildren.
"There are also Nuraini's relatives who help, but of course not completely because they have their own dependents," he said.
For this reason, Masriwal and the KJB Jannah Blessing Friday Social Team visited Nuraini's house and tried to raise assistance to repair her house and their medical expenses.
"Hopefully the aid will be collected quickly, so that they will immediately receive medical expenses and a livable house," he said.
He said that generous donors who wish to donate a little of their sustenance can go through the account of the Yayasan Generasi Peduli Kenagarian Sungai Nanam, Lembah Gumant District.
"Assistance can be distributed to the BRI Foundation account number, No.5542-01-027990-53-8.
An Yayasan Generasi Cares for Kenagarian River Nanam, Lembah Gumanti District, Solok Regency, "he said.
He said that currently only around Rp 3 million in assistance had been collected and rice for Nuraini's family. However, it is not sufficient for the cost of medical treatment and home repairs.
In addition, Masriwal also said some time ago a team from the PUPR District Office of Solok, the head of the jorong, community leaders, and local people had also visited Nuraini's house.
"Hopefully our efforts to help build habitable houses for the Nuraini family will soon be realized," he said.
