Mike Mangini: New Dream Theater Full Of Non-Stop Energy

JAKARTA - Mike Mangini has finished recording the drum line for the new Dream Theater album. The follow-up to Distance Over Time (2019) is temporarily scheduled for release later this year.

"My drum for the DT15 is finished," Mike wrote on his Facebook page.

"This is a long post, but for those of you like me who need positive inspiration more than ever, this is for you," said Mingini.

"I haven't played on an album with full passion from start to finish since Annihilator." Check out the full post below:

Distance Over Time marks Dream Theater's first album for Sony Music's progressive InsideOut Music trail.

The group spent the last 25 years recording under various labels within the Warner Music Group system, most recently Roadrunner Records, which released five Dream Theater albums between 2007 and 2016.

Recently, Dream Theater released the ninth live album of their career, Distant Memories - Live In London.

Recorded at their sold out show at the Apollo Theater in London, the live album documents the band's popular world tour in support of Distance Over Time and the 20th anniversary of their conceptual album Metropolis Part 2 - Scenes From A Memory.
