Gambir Station Money Order Completed Revitalized, Commuter Line Travel Is Normal Again

JAKARTA - The process of revitalizing the replacement of notes 11A and 21A at Gambir Station which has been carried out since Thursday, February 13 has been completed. In fact, according to the original plan, the replacement of Gambir's money orders which affected a number of commuter line transportation modes would last for seven days or would only be completed on Wednesday, February 19.

"Through accelerating the process of work stages, currently Daop 1 Jakarta has completed most of the work stages which have an impact on the KRL operation pattern related to Gambir money orders replacement," said Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Eva Chairunisa, as quoted by VOI in her written statement, Monday, February 17th.

Eva added, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta will coordinate with PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) to normalize the travel of the electric train (KRL) or commuter line.

"As of today, Monday, February 17 starting at 3:00 p.m. WIB, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta will again enforce a normal operation pattern without engineering operations at the Manggarai-Jakarta Kota Station crossing," said Eva, adding that all train trips from and to Cikarang or Bekasi. and Bogor operates normally according to relations.

It's just that, even though there is no more engineering of the operating pattern, the process of replacing Gambir's money orders is still ongoing. Currently, the process of working on drafts at Gambir Station enters the process of installing additional new crossed drafts, namely 11A1 and 21A1 drafts.

The installation will be carried out at night within the window time or maintenance time before the train operates so as not to have an impact on the main train journey during peak hours. Furthermore, in conjunction with the final stage of replacing Gambir drafts, Daop 1 Jakarta has also gradually started work on replacing 4 drafts in Jakarta Kota which is targeted to be completed on February 23.

In the process of replacing Jakarta Kota drafts, the engineering pattern of operations will also be applied for one day, namely on Saturday, February 22 2020 and will have an impact on 56 train numbers, of which 34 trains will be operated on and 22 other trains will have their trips canceled.

The revitalization in the form of changing money orders at Gambir Station and Jakarta Kota aims to improve the safety and security factors for rail travel. In addition, revitalization is also an alternative solution to train travel arrangements.

This is because if under certain conditions there are problems on the elevated route, the train travel service can be more accommodated through the flexibility of changing routes using new drafts.

Eva also emphasized that PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta remains committed to continuing to strive for the best service for service users, through train travel arrangements.

"So even though the process of revitalizing money orders will continue, efforts will continue to be made to accommodate train trips as much as possible so that people's needs for activities using train services remain accommodated," Eva said while asking the public to always pay attention to the available information.
