The Attorney General's Office Again Examines Johnny G Plate's Sister Regarding The BTS Kominfo Corruption Case

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office have again examined Gregorius Alex Plate, Johnny G Plate's younger brother, as a witness in the alleged corruption case in the provision of Base Tranceiver Station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for Kominfo for the 2020-2022 period.

Head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information, Ketut Sumedana, said that 11 witnesses were questioned today, one of whom was Gregorius Alex Plate, the younger brother of the suspect Johnny G Plate.

Apart from Gregorius, another witness who was examined, namely DS as the Main Auditor of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), FR as Senior Manager of BAKTI BTS Project PT Aplikusa Lintaarta, G as Director of Commerce of PT Aplicusa Lintaarta, MM as Commissioner of PT Rekayasa Industri, AK as Project Director of ZTE.

Then, YAU as an employee of ZTE Indonesia Department of Outsourcing PT ZTE Indonesia, MMP as a staff of PT Multi Tiara Data, YS as Director of PT Multi Tiana Data, YS as an employee of PT Sansane Exindo, and LTJH as Commissioner of PT Paradita Infra Nusantara, PT Nusantara Global Telematics and PT Menara Cahaya Telekomunikasi.

"The eleven witnesses were examined in connection with the investigation of the alleged criminal act case in order to strengthen the evidence and complete the filing," Sumedana said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 7.

Gregorius Alex Plate has been examined more than three times as a witness. Previously, he was also examined as a witness on January 12 and February 13.

In this case, Gregorius has returned the money allegedly related to the construction project and provision of BTS 4G BAKTI Kominfo infrastructure for the 2020-2022 period worth IDR 534 million to Jampidsus investigators at the Attorney General's Office.

Previously, the Director of Investigation at the Jampidsus Attorney General's Office, Kuntadi, said that Gregorius Alex Plate was a witness from the private sector, not civil servants, civil servants, or state officials.

His party is still investigating whether Gregorius can be held accountable for the corruption case that cost the state finances of Rp. 8.32 trillion.

"So far we are still exploring whether we need it, we can ask for accountability, how the construction is. We have seen it so far," said Kuntadi.

In a corruption case that cost the state finances Rp8.3 trillion, investigators have named seven suspects, namely Anang Achmad Latif (AAL) as President Director of BAKTI Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Gahole Menak (GMS) as President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Yohan Suryanto (YS) as a Human Development (HUDEV) expert at the University of Indonesia in 2020, Mukti Ali (MA) a suspect from PT Huwaei Technology Investment and Irwan Hermawan (IH) as Commissioner of PT Solitchmedia Synergy.

Then, the non-active Minister of Communication and Information (Menkoinfo) Johnny G Plate and Windi Purnama, as confidants of the suspect Irwan Hermawan (IH).

Five of the seven suspects have been transferred to the case files of the suspect and evidence to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the South Jakarta District Attorney, namely AAL, GMS, YS, MA and IH. Meanwhile, Johnny G Plate and Windi Purnama are still in process.
