Menpan: Addition Of Budget Support For ASN Professional Transformation

JAKARTA - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas said the addition of the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform budget in 2024 was aimed at supporting the transformation of the digital-based state civil apparatus (ASN) professionalism.

"This additional budget is to support the transformation of digital-based ASN professionalism, to improve the performance of implementing digitalization of public services, institutional arrangements, and an integrated electronic-based government system (SPBE)," said Anas, Abdullah Azwar Anas' nickname, in a Working Meeting and Hearing Meeting with Commission II of the DPR reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 7.

In the meeting, Commission II of the DPR approved the proposed additional budget for the Ministry of PAN-RB in 2024 of Rp277,169,929,000. The budget ceiling for the Ministry of PAN RB in 2024 is Rp263,382,824,000, which includes the budget for the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) of Rp56,946,098,000.

Anas conveyed that the performance targets of the Ministry of PAN-RB in 2024 are related to the transformation of bureaucracy which has more impact and really targets the main problems of development.

Anas said the PAN-RB Ministry's work plan was prepared to realize a simple, responsive, adaptive, collaborative institutional institution, and present an integrated SPBE. In addition, the work plan is expected to realize professional ASN.

He explained that the PAN-RB Ministry's work plan targets the internal scope to strengthen the capabilities of ministry organizations.

"So, we will use the budget allocation and additional budget for 2024 for priority and strategic work programs," said Anas.

In addition to conveying the draft work program and budget for 2024, Anas conveyed the need for an additional budget proposal in 2023 of IDR 174,154,801,000 which was approved by Commission II of the DPR RI.

According to him, the addition of the budget will be used for policy programs, professional development, ASN governance, and management support programs.

"We thank all leaders and members of Commission II of the DPR RI for the support provided for the success of achieving our work program to achieve the 2020-2024 development agenda," said Anas.
