Here's How Ganjar Pranowo Handles Extreme Poverty In Central Java

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said the progress of handling extreme poverty (PKE) in Central Java was going well. Verification and data validation have been completed and several interventions have been carried out, such as stunting showing the same number. "We in Central Java are trying to design specifically for handling extreme poverty, specifically. So yesterday the village head friends helped record it, the verification is now one hundred percent. Some of the interventions have started to be good, we check houses that are not livable, we check latrines, water, children are not in school, and people with disabilities. These are some of our priorities. We try to do it, "said Ganjar after chairing a coordination meeting on handling extreme poverty at the Central Java Governor's Office, Wednesday, June 7.

In the meeting attended by regional heads throughout Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo requested that the intervention needs that have been budgeted in the APBD, APBDes, the APBN be carried out immediately. Regarding the lack of intervention needs, Ganjar wants to immediately improvise using a mutual cooperation pattern. Among them are inviting CSR, BAZNAS, and caring people who are able to accelerate. So far, according to Ganjar, the effort from regional heads has been extraordinary so that acceleration can be carried out. "Now we are starting to map what is in each district/city. Alhamdulillah, one hundred percent stunting has been intervened. This is fun so that if stunting is the calculation we can do it for three months, there should be results. Tomorrow, I ask to collect the results of all existing interventions so that we will be able to find out how they can be completed quickly," he explained.

Ganjar is optimistic that President Joko Widodo's target for zero percent extreme poverty in 2024 can be pursued. Especially in Central Java, a number of strategies have been prepared. Among other things, the use of the budget from the Central Java Provincial Government is purely carried out by the Central Java Provincial Government and the potential for the revised APBD which can be done together with the DPRD. "Then the preparation of the 2024 RAPBD. There is still one opportunity even though I finished in September but we can do the design now so that later we invite DPRD friends to be able to gang up on districts/cities," said Ganjar.

In addition to handling stunting and disabilities that are already one hundred percent, a number of indicators still require intervention. For that, Ganjar asked the district government to have an initiative. He gave an example, for example, inviting companies in each region to help. "Umpama (in Grobogan) there is one cement company there, so please help about RTLH, help about latrines, that's all physically. Yesterday we met with mining associations, this is all legal, they gave their CSR as well. This is of course all in the village so that we really invite the spirit of mutual cooperation together. Maybe there are those who help the staff, so we stick them one by one so that they can be completed quickly," said the governor for the two periods.

Cooperation with companies, can also help to intervene in the problem of unemployment. For example, employing citizens in labor-intensive projects or providing job training to improve human resources. As for education, Ganjar is preparing a design to intervene in children without going to school, especially from poor and extreme poor families. He wants all school-age children to get decent education so that they can improve their family's welfare. "Indeed, children do not have to go to school, we have to wait for the new school year. We are also preparing them to go to virtual school or pursue packages so that then they can go to school together. Anyway, we calculate the target until the end of the year, how much is the optimal energy we can provide, how much is the projected results that we can handle so how much is our debt in 2024," concluded Ganjar Pranowo.
