President Jokowi Arrives In Singapore, Will Promote Indonesia's Investment In Ecosperity Week 2023

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) arrived at Changi International Airport, Singapore, to be a speaker at the 2023 Ecosperity Week which will be attended by investors, government officials, and academics.Jokowi arrived at Changi Airport, Singapore, after traveling for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 7.Jokowi who was accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo was greeted by Singapore's Head of State Protocol Chia Wei Wen, Deputy Director General of ASEAN Singapore Karen Ong, Singapore Ambassador to RI Kwok Fook Seng and wife, Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Suryo Pratomo and wife, Singapore's Indonesian Defense Attache Colonel Pnb. Achmad Zailani and his wife, as well as CEO of the Temasek Foundation Ng Boon Heong.From the airport, the President and Mrs. Iriana will head to the firefront & Convention Center, Singapore to attend the 2023 Ecosperity Week held by the Temasek Foundation.In his statement before taking off from Halim, Jakarta, the President said he would promote Indonesia's investment, especially in the fields of energy transition, green infrastructure, and development of the capital city of Nusantara in Singapore's Ecosperity Week 2023.After attending Ecosperity Week, President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana will meet Singaporean Prime Minister (PM) Lee Hsien Loong and Ho Ching's mother at the Singapore Palace.After leaving Singapore, the President will continue a working visit to Malaysia to meet Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah.President Jokowi will use a working visit to Malaysia to complete several important negotiations that have been running for years and have not been completed, among others, regarding border issues and the protection of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI).
Jokowi is scheduled to return to Indonesia on Thursday, June 8 evening.
