The Chief Justice Of The Supreme Court Asks Judges To Firmly Handle The Land Mafia Case

BENGKULU - Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (MA) Syarifuddin asked judges to firmly address the land mafia by hearing the case carefully, seriously and professionally.

"There are many cases of land, not only in Bengkulu Province. Therefore, I really hope that the judges will try the case carefully and seriously," said Syarifuddin at the Bengkulu District Court (PN) as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 7.

In addition, the judges were asked not to hesitate to conduct an examination of the land that was the object of land disputes in accordance with their knowledge.

Thus, the judges can provide a decision that shows justice for justice seekers.

"If we work in accordance with our knowledge, sufficient practice and high integrity, I believe that the results provided by the decision will show justice for justice seekers," he said.

The same thing was conveyed by the Bengkulu District Court Public Relations official, Ivonne Tiurma Risma, regarding the land mafia case in Bengkulu Province.

The judges are required to be more professional so that there is no indication of involvement to help parties with interests.

"So we are based on the facts in accordance with the existing evidence and we give the verdict in accordance with the evidence in the trial," he explained.

Previously, the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) detained the suspect in the land mafia case, namely T, after undergoing the second phase of delegation from investigators from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Dit Reskrimum) of the Bengkulu Police to the Public Prosecutor (JPU).

Head of the Legal Information Section (Kasi Penkum) of the Bengkulu Attorney General's Office, Ristianti Andriani, said that suspect T was a suspect in a criminal act by deliberately using a fake deed on an area of 1.5 hectares in Pekan Village, Saturday, Bengkulu City, which belonged to the victim Ozwizar.

"We detained suspect T after the delegation of the case from the Bengkulu Police to the Public Prosecutor of the High Prosecutor's Office," he said.

He explained that related to the case, suspect T used a fake certificate or letter to collect an area of 1.5 hectares of land belonging to the victim.

Then the land was used as a victim of plot land with an area of 15 x 20 square meters and sold for Rp. 30 million per plot with a total of 35 buyers.

It is known that the land mafia case is the attention of the Indonesian Attorney General ST Burhanuddin which must be resolved indiscriminately by the prosecutors because the actions of the land mafia suspects are not only detrimental but also disturbing the community.
