Zoom Has An AI-Based Feature To Reduce Meeting Materials If Users Are Not Present
JAKARTA - Zoom launched an upgrade to its main Zoom IQ feature in the form of meeting summarys and Chat writing. Users in certain packages can try it for free.
Zoom IQ itself is a smart companion who empowers collaboration and opens user potential through generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).
With Zoom IQ, Zoom Meeting organizers can now create a summary powered by the company's big language model and share it via Zoom Team Chat and email without recording conversations.
The hosts will also receive automatic summarys and share them with participants. For those who are not present, this new capability can increase team collaboration and accelerate productivity. This feature is similar to the smart recap available for Premium Teams users.
With the introduction of this new capability on Zoom IQ, a great generative AI assistant, the team can further increase their productivity for everyday tasks, free up more time for creative work, and expand collaboration, "said Chief Product Officer at Zoom, Smita Hashim in an official statement quoted Tuesday, June 6.
Users can now take advantage of OpenAI's technology to write messages in Team Chats in addition to changing the tone and length of messages and rearranging responses in order to adjust text recommendations.
To use these features, users must open a Zoom admin console and participate in free trials for each feature. They will also be given the option to share data with Zoom.
However, account admins can change the choice of sharing this data at any time. Hashim stressed that customer data will not be used to train third-party models.
For now, both features can be used by Zoom One (Enterprise Plus, Enterprise, Business Plus, Business, Pro) users and several Zoom heritage bundles (Host Named Company, Active Host Company, Zoom Meetings Enterprise, Zoom Meetings Business, Zoom Meetings Pro). It's unclear how much this feature costs after a free trial.
Zoom also introduced a series of next-generational AI-powered features, which are scheduled to launch soon. In this case, users can create a draft of email content, summarize the Tim Chat thread, set the idea, and create a whiteboard content draft.
In the email content draft feature, users can take advantage of the generative AI power where they will get email draft suggestions in response to the conversation context of the previous Zoom Meeting, Zoom Phone Calls, and email threads. This feature is publicly available in the coming weeks.
