Anies Baswedan 'Shows' The Revitalization Of The Pasar Senen Area, Potential To Be Developed
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan uploaded a photo of himself exploring the revitalized Pasar Senen area on his Instagram account, @aniesbaswedan.
In the uploaded photos, Anies walks across the colorful painted flyover at the intersection of five in Senen. He also enjoyed the view in the afternoon from the pedestrian bridge (JPO) to the Senen Transjakarta bus stop.
Anies said, in managing the Pasar Senen area, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government must arrange the mobility of all people and activities in one intact area. This area, according to him, is a potential location for development.
"The Pasar Senen area is one of the potential hubs to be developed as a Transit Oriented Development (TOD). Because of that, we are not only building a Lower Cross Extension for vehicles, we are building facilities for the movement of people," Anies said on his Instagram account, Saturday, January 23.
As for the results of this revitalization, the Senen Shelter has become wider, two new JPOs are equipped with lifts, the vehicle flow is prioritized for pedestrians, cyclists and public transportation.
"Continuing the arrangement of the pedestrian path from the Kramat Raya corridor, equipped with a new bus stop and signage. Integrated arrangement of the Senen Station area. Green lanes and parks are beautified, street lighting is added," said Anies.
Furthermore, Anies said that currently the construction of Pasar Senen Jaya Blok I and II is underway, which will be directly connected to the TransJakarta bus stop.
"When finished, it will beautify the new face of Senen and restore the glory of the Pasar Senen area as a center for business and shopping tourism," Anies concluded.
